I removed the turbo oil feed and return; they are nasty with corrosion. I am getting them ceramic coated.
The side of the engine is also rusty. Is there something I can do (paint with?) or should I just wire brush it?

I'd try to brush/scrape off what you can and then paint it with Rustoleum or similar.

Maybe barbecue paint? How hot are things there; it's the side the exhaust is on.
I don't think I've seen this other rustoleum product in a store.

What about a rust treatment like this? Similiar to POR 15. Just clean the surface the best you can and use a spay bottle to apply the rust inhibator and then paint it with the sealer.

Malakhi, I saw that product on the internet. I was not sure about engine heat.

Yeah i just looked on the can of sealer and cant find anything on the label about heat range. You could check their website for more info KBS-Coatings.com
However according to the automotive paint supply store where I bought it, you dont have to use the sealer and can paint over the inhibitor with the paint of your choice.
If it was me I'd use the inhibitor and paint over it with rattle can Dupli-Color engine enamel
Oh and just an FYI when shpooping for similiar products dont bother with ProForm rust converter its garbage
