Engine block number

I picked up what I believe is a 82/83 Toyota 2.2 diesel. There is a number on the block that is L 722787 which are the only numbers on the block. And they are located behind the injection pump can anyone tell me what this engine might be? Thank you

There are other numbers on the block. If you are looking for a date, those cast numbers/codes will correspond to a date.

Find them. Then report back. They are on the block cast into it.
