Picking it up tomorrow.

'05 GX470 - All the bells and whistles and in great shape. LX was just not right for what we wanted and we got more truck for the $ in GX.

Took these yesterday when we couldn't get in, and didn't snap anymore when we went to drive it today. Al, this might be a good option instead of the LX for your sister. A tad smaller but pretty much same drivetrain. 3X as many sold in NA and sooooo much easier to locate.

We'll miss the 80, no doubt. But the comfort and convenience will be nice.

Thanks Jerry!

Yeah Meatball. It's the same 4.7 V8 from the LX series - 270HP // 330ft/lbs - 6500# tow rating.

Sorry about the accident. But you are going to enjoy the GX. It has a lot of power and quiet like a car.

Atom, you can do what you do in a civic.

This rig is going to stay stock Meatball, but to answer your question...

Yeah you can - is it the "ideal" platform, no, but much better than say a Cherokee or some other unibody with no real out of the box capabilities. Some people are saying they are topheavy for an offroad rig, but I really couldn't care less since this is going to be a 95% asphalt queen for the :princess:

Nice score!!

Yes Adam you can wheel it and build it up. It is built on the same platform as the 120 (prado) land cruiser and the last generation 4runner. So there are parts out there.

I believe Dan down in atlanta is building one up right now actually.

You wont be disappointed at all. And after awhile you will be looking for one to build for yourself.

The wife has one. One of the best cars I have ever owned, if not the best car I have ever owned. Roomy, luxury, power, safety, and not horrible gas mileage. We just took ours from Wilmington to Asheville to Boone and back. Got around 17-18 mpgs.

Theres a couple built ones in the 120 section.

We picked it up last night and Emma's tickled. Glad to have this episode behind us. Quite a change from the 80, and while it was a cool ride, it wasn't very practical for her. Thanks for the props folks.

It would have been perfect for a Brown Mountain trip and hate we didn't have it a week earlier, looks like the leaves were about perfect.
