I have noticed the gauge console Inside/Outside temperatures will indicate - E in both slots when the vehicle is first started and then will indicate - 29 in both slots after the vehicle has run for a while. I am guessing the sensors are either missing or not connected.
Any idea where these sensors are located ?
This console is on my '93 PZJ-75 pickup.

I believe one is located in one side of the forward frame while the other should be overhead on one side of the cab.

Got a pic ? Not familiar sounds cool if its OE fitment....

Here is a diagram from the factory wiring manual. The outside air temp sensor is mounted behind the bumper on the outside edge of the frame.

The inside temp sensor (on RHD vehicles) is mounted behind a small plastic grate above the RH door. I can get a pic of them both on my LJ78 tomorrow if you want.

Thats so cool. We have altimeter and pitch / roll. Feel like a swap ?????????????? Never seen one of those or can you get them from a wrecking yard ?

I thought, perhaps incorrectly, that the Altimeter / Temp Pod was fairly common. Both my 74 and 77 Series had that setup.

From what I have seen it appears that the altimeter/thermometer was more common (perhaps limited to) the Japanese market, while the altimeter/pitch/roll was available in the European and General markets.

Hello,

I have noticed that as well.

The altimeter helps on those times when either a GPS is not at hand or it cannot connect.

I am stating the obvious here: on dual tank models before 1999, the dash pod housed the secondary tank gauge.

I just noticed your PZJ75 has a 4-speed transmission, a rare option in 70 Series Cruisers. A good reason to take good care of it in my book.
