Element E50 mount location

I want to mount my E50 here:

I saw a post where someone did this but can’t find it now. My question is what, if anything, is under the carpet or behind the body metal? Is it safe to just go for it with a drill to mount the holding clip?

Not sure. Maybe pop that side panel off and lift carpet back to inspect.

You could also poke 2 small holes through the carpet, run a zip tie underneath and secure to that plastic bracket. It's not holding a lot of weight like a regular extinguisher.

Probably was me. It’s fine. There isn’t anything immediately behind that. There’s some space before the amplifier body. I used 1/2” self tappers still going strong a few months later.
Under the carpet is that formed fiberboard.

I keep them in both front door pockets wrapped tightly in a microfiber cloth with gloves and safety glasses. You know in case my copilot needs to grab it quick.

Thats exactly where I put mine. Took 5 minutes. No issues.
