electric motor brands?

Could someone recommend or educate me on the various brands of electric motors? Who makes the most durable? I need a 5.5KW/7.5 HP single phase, 1500 or 1750 RPM, to run an Atlas Copco LE Series Compressor.

GE, Baldor, Leeson make decent motors.

Bosch is the best from what I've seen when rebuilding, though Pin Head's recommendations won't steer you wrong either.

WEG builds a decent motor as well. A past employer still uses them as the OE supplier for rock crushing equipment.

Most of my American machines have Baldor or Leesen, I believe my compressor has a WEG.
