Alright so my 80 won't start. CE light doesn't come on when I turn on the key. EFI main relay is toast right?

No problem, as I have read https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-...es-faq-item-recommend-keeping-copy-truck.html
I have determined that my fuel pump will engage when I provide 12V to the #3 terminal on the fuel pump relay.

so I need to buy P/N 90987-02004-83 right? Well there is a big problem, the internal pin outs on MY TOYOTA relay are different than EVERY OTHER one on the internet.

So my question is, where can I find the correct P/N 90987-02004-83 that switches the #2 and #4 pins, like the factory one I have? All the ones I find switch the #1 and #3

What year is your 80? I just ordered an extra relay (I'll have to check the number when I get time) but I thought the relay you bought was for 93 - 97... Just curious to make sure I don't have the same problem and possibly to help out if I do.

mine is a 96

I have jumped what I believe to be the #2 and #4 pins on the main efi relay. These are the left most two pins in the upper left hand side of the underhood fuse/relay box. When I jump these two, the CEL comes on, but the engine will still not start.

The funny thing is that I am getting .35 volt from the #2 pin on the main efi relay, when the key is off...

It sounds like you're skipping some simple steps here. Grab the multimeter and test a few things first before you start buying stuff.

-You should have continuity across all three fusible links (from battery positive to the bolts/connector where they connect to the wiring harness)
-You should have continuity across the EFI fuse
-You should have continuity between terminals 1 and 3 on the EFI relay
-You should not have continuity between terminals 2 and 4 on the EFI relay
-You should have continuity between terminals 2 and 4 on the EFI relay when you apply 12v and ground to terminals 1 and 3

Do any of those not check out?

The side of the Toyota relays usually has a wiring diagram explaining the four pins and what they do. A Toyota dealer is your best source for a replacement relay as well.

I tested my EFI relay. I connected #3 to ground, #1 to power on the batter. The relay isntantly 'clicked' - I knew it was good, but I tested continuity between #2 and #4 - it was good.

So...

EFI relay checked out good. Still no CEL when I turn on the key.

All the fusible links seem to check out.

My question is now - where do all 3 of the fusible link wires terminate? In other words, how can I be certain they are getting power to where they need to be?
