Full front bumpers are understandably more popular around here but for my needs and usage I wanted a nudge bar that could also accomodate auxiliary lighting and I spent hours trying to find one that worked. I am posting this review as an FYI for anyone that is looking for a high quality nudge bar for a 200.
I spent a lot of time trying to track down the OEM nudge bar that is widely available in Australia. I tried new and was told it was on backorder until mid June. I tried used but couldn't find a seller willing to ship. The OEM version appears to be solid but does have some flaws in that it only comes in a stainless steel finish and it has a license plate bracket which us not needed in most US states.
Eventually I stumbled upon ECB's nudge bar. I wasn't crazy about the pics on their site but I really wanted to see this project through so I took a chance.
ECB directs all US inquiries to an AU freight forwarder who then bundles the price of shipping and the bar together. This is much easier than setting up your own account at a freight forwarder, having your item shipped there and then to you, which I had already done in my search for the OEM bar. I paid $1,705 AUD for the bar and to have it shipped. It arrived at my house 5 weeks after I ordered it.
I am extremely pleased with the fit and finish of this bar. It was well packaged and exceeded my expectations. Also very easy to install.
Pros
-weighs only 6 kg as it is made of heavy duty aluminum
-variety of finishes, mine is black textura powdercoat which matches my Budbuilt sliders
-aux lighting platform
-provides some protection from animal strikes and parking in urban environments
-airbag compliant and does not mess with camera or parking sensors
Cons
-it isn't a full bumper
