eBay Tire Deal: $100 off $400

Not sure if anyone else has seen this or if I'm just late to the party but a good deal for anyone in the market for tires.

$100 off a purchase of $400 or more using code PTIRES18

Could buy 2 tires with a value of 400 and use the code then have a friend buy another set of 2 tires and use it again for a savings of $200. For example a set of 275/70/18 KO2 like I have on my truck could be had for >$800 shipped.

I did this a few years ago and got 4 35" Cooper STT Pros with installation and tire certificates for $1194 out the door. I got the local discount tire to price match their online store and they gave me an instant rebate of $70. The tire certificates, free rotation, and free balancing will pay for themselves.

Make sure you get some idea of tire manufacturing date, often times the sales are for tires that have been sitting for years, and will not last long, cracking, etc.

Definitely something to look out for. I don't personally buy tires from eBay or Amazon for this reason.

That's not the case with this deal. The $100 off $400 is a sale that is done in March and October every year. There are no restrictions to which tires are selected. When I got the Coopers, they were fairly new and I couldn't find much information on them.
