Ebay Scam or did some 1988 LJ-70's come with rectangle headlamps?

I think that is a kzj71 ? It is a land cruiser II, the preceesor to the Prado. they are all over the Middle East, nice truck. The year seems off, I recall that front end being on 1990 and above but I could be wrong.

yeah it's actually an LJ-70, you can see the 2L-T in one of the pics. I agree it's definitely a 1990+ which means it's not allowed in the U.S. An unsuspecting buyer might have to watch it be pancaked in a crusher! :crybaby:
Note also the VIN tag is a stick-on with no rivets, strange no?

Hello,

Rectangular headlights started around 1991. This truck is younger than the listing says.

Rear fog lights and Hazard button location on the dash make it an European market unit. So does the low-slung rear license plate holder. Maybe from Spain or Germany. Interesting.

There is a place in the windshield base where VINs were stamped. I have not seen one of these personally in ages.

I guess it is an LJ71 or LJ72. Hopefully the previous owner was kind to the turbo.

It appears to be already in the US. Lawn ornament waiting to come of age? It is old enough for Canada.

Once the are registered you can drive them... How he got it registered I have no idea, but he claims that it is registered in Vermont. So I'm not sure why people keep saying it would have to be a lawn ornament? Maybe due to emissions in California, but in many other states it should be totally drive able... Right?
