And this little one even got into the action which was amazing considering how cold the lake was.

We headed back. There were some fun little sections.

We heard the rumble of thunder and figured it would be a good time to head back to camp.

Back and camp, playtime was back on. Here are my younger 3.

Breakfast was the da bomb. We had to move the spuds into a pot to free up room for all the meat. Soooooo good!

We decided to stick close to camp on Tuesday. Some hiked to the ridge overlooking camp and got some great pictures.

In the afternoon we set up a range and let the older kids shoot. We all got some excellent instruction from Pat's friend Pepper, a Navy Seal.

The rest of the day we took it easy.

It's always good to stay hydrated!

Daniel and his Scout friend Evan decided to ditch us and blast down to the valley floor in their mountain bikes. They had soooooooo much fun!

Well that's a wrap. It was a fantastic trip. We made new friends and saw new stuff. The kids can't wait to get back next year! The plateau is pristine and really doesn't need anything other than to be left hard to get to and alone so we can enjoy it the way it has been for the last 30+ years.

I will try to tweak the date next time to accommodate.

Well thanks, now I'm super jealous that we didn't get to go! Such a beautiful spot! I'm penciling it in for next year so I can make sure we get time off.

Not that I am aware.
