Darin you still want those black dash pieces?

The Doc that works in my building can't make it but, a guy called me interested in the pig is going to come. The pig has sold finally... He is from Canada and has owned 4 cruisers. I told him we were meeting and he was really interested getting together with the group. Him and his girlfriend should be out there Friday.

Darin,

The tranny is ready to go, I don't know you will be able to use it or not, one the valve body isn't on it and two, when I flipped it over and to pull the TC shell, it looks like somebody tried to split the T/C and adapter off the tranny not realizing that you have to pull the TC apart. Looks like somebody used a chisel to separate the sections. If you can use it, its yours. If you can't use it, then you can sell it for scrap unless anybody else can use stuff off of it.

Does this other Canadian live in Wilmington and drive a FJ60 that is pretty beat up ?
That would be me;)

Also, as anybody coming that will see our glorious ex-president Greg? I have a McNamara gear that I have to get to him

Outstanding meeting tonight. New faces and some a few old (alex and terry). Will post more tomorrow this meatball is cooked after workin 12 hrs today.

Just rolled in the door - great to meet everyone tonight!

After the drive back from MHC last night - Ive pretty much decided to stay with the drum brakes..but I was WONDERING if anyone were in my area in the next month - would mind coming over and showing me how to adjust them so that I can keep them up ...I make some ridiculously good Fried Chicken...maybe throw in some beer..anyone?

Super simple. You need to get a brake spoon (got mine at Harbor Freight), a jack, and a jack stand. Jack one wheel up, pop the plug off the back of the brake shield, push the spoon in and feel for the grooves. Adjust the star wheel down ( I think it's down to tighten) just until you hear the brake shoes start to drag. Repeat for all 4 wheels.

Take it for a spin, jam the brakes on, and hold on!
