We ended up going out deep sea fishing and caught the limit of mahi by noon. We still pulled in two bulls in the afternoon and had a marlin strike, but that was all. We gave the Captain and first mate a couple fish to stay in limit. Not a bad day, and since no one wanted the fish, I brought it home and stuck it in the freezer. :clap:

D A M N Kenny. Great catch. You and all of your neighbors are going to be eating well for a while. It looks like you had a great day. Congrats! What was your heaviest bull? I bet you had sore arms the next day.
 
I couldn't tell you what the heaviest weighs. I played with a large one for 20 minutes and when I brought him to the boat, he crossed another line and got off! :mad:

We let the little fellow in the pic bring in about 30 himself, since it was his first time. And yes his arms were sore the next day! The pic of Lydia is the largest one caught; and yes I reeled that one in. :bounce::bounce2:

We had a fish fry Saturday for the family and still have tons in the freezer. I don't have any neighbors :clap: so I don't have to share, except family.

One day I would like to show you how to bail dolphin, if you never have tried. A total blast with everyone fishing at the same time.

ok, so i didn't get to fish due to ongoing break in issues and a crappy mechanic. But after a 5 days of trouble shooting, and a new mechanic, she is FINALLY ready for off shore.

i even had the whole team rigged and ready to go. Then we spun a prop, lost 3 cylinders in one engine and had 2 out of 5 batteries die, and the next day was 2 foot seas off shore. Meatball was even lined up to put some gas in the boat and come along.

Well good luck and if you catch any tuna, I'll trade you some mahi mahi for some.

We seem to always get lucky. The day before, people were throwing off maybe 10 dolphin and just a few billfish flags. Total waste of a $$$. The day we went, one boat got into some tuna and brought in 5 small ones. A few wahoo were caught but everyone had a good supply of mahi. Captain said first time this year he had got the limit.

We had a 54' boat and both my nephews were spewing on the way out. I almost had to but the patch came through. If the seas are ruff, I might have a problem on your boat.

Glad you got it running and can't wait for them citation pics from you! I can imagine what it would be like fishing with you and meatball. I'd have to bring a lot of jello shooters! and :beer::beer:
 
that is quite a catch. Those days when you come back with 2 dolphin can be tough, thats a lot of time and gas $ for a few fillets, however, it does happen to the best of us. Concentrated ginger tablets work very well for motion sickness too with very little side effects. That is what we give to most people who come with us.
 
i am a little worried about being trapped on a boat with meatball as well. There is no escape on a 30 ft boat 50 miles offshore.
 
hey that wasnt your generosity. That was you extremely kind and gracious wife, who is obviously doing some sort of community service by living with you.:flipoff2:
