Just wanted to start off by saying I’m just testing waters on this and I absolutely love this 100. I’ll most likely keep this for years to come, but just figured I’d see what’s out there.
I bought this last year with around 282k on it and have done a good bit of preventative maintenance and a few nice upgrades along the way. It runs and drives excellent, has 289k on it now. It’s my daily so the miles will go up.
Maintenance includes;
-All diff fluids changed with 80w90 synthetic
-Oil just changed with royal purple high mileage 5w30 and oem filter
-did a PS flush (but it could use another soon, it was fairly dark when I flushed it the first time)
-new oem air filter 4k miles ago
-greased the driveshaft
Amongst other small things. I have a box full of oem timing belt components, drive belt, and other miscellaneous parts. I’m slowly getting to doing these things as I get time, so it’s possible they’ll be done in the next couple weeks.
Overall the thing drives excellent and hasn’t given me any issues. It has no rust at all, no significant damage of any kind, just typical wear and tear for a 25 year old cruiser.
I’m interested in seeing what kind of trades I can get offered really. Mostly interested in Toyota 4x4’s of all kinds. Land cruisers get priority of course, but send me what you’ve got and we can go from there!
