Time for the annual East Coast pig run, will be held Friday August 12 and Saturday August 13 at Rausch Creek off-road park in Joliet PA. Any Toyota owners who want to socialize and wheel this weekend are welcome to participate. We’ve been known to let a select few Jeep and old Bronco owners to join us over the years, too. We’ve had as many as eleven FJ55’s and as few as four pigs in the fold over the years. The first two years the pig run was held at Paragon with six piggies in the fold, the last several years (six, I believe) have been at Rausch.
The pig run is about as informal as an “event” could be. Guys come from all over the east coast to enjoy the wheeling and most camp either free at Rausch Creek, at one of the nearby campgrounds, or at the Comfort Inn in Pine Grove. Wheeling starts Friday morning, anyone who knows me can verify that I like to get my group onto the trails early- by 8:30. Not everyone feels that way and there are usually a few groups leaving after my group. While last year we had only two groups, in years past there have been multiple groups running the wide variety of trails that Rausch has to offer. From easy greens to scary reds Rausch Creek has it all.
Use this blurb to see who is planning to attend- come one come all let’s enjoy this years pig run. For any specific help feel free to email shmukter@pa.metrocast.net or here at work GSCHMAUCH@cartech.com. Thanks, Gary S (Shmukster on MUD)
