I'm assuming I can replace it with the standard Denso 471-1166 that fits all the later FZJ80s.
Denso and other rebuilders have a different part number for the earlier R12 equipped FZJ80s.

Just checking there isn't some fitment issue with the cap or mounting or something before I order.
 
This is a good question. I've had good luck with propane in R12 rigs and haven't had to swap a R134 compressor in a while. Hopefully someone knows the answer to this.

Our '91 is R12 and our '93 is R134.
 
Decided to just bite the bullet. Swapped over a few components, replaced o-rings, threw it back on and recharged with an off the shelf kit and we're all good.

So is that the 471-1166 compressor? Guessing it is with the Denso box in the pic.
