Does anyone know if enough snow has melted in the Eagle Lakes area to make any of the trails up there driveable?

I hope so I want to start going on some trips!

With the low snow amounts this year, it doesn't surprise me that most of it is already gone. I'm planning an Easter weekend camping trip up there for next weekend. Even picking up camo eggs for an easter egg hunt....kids are going to hate me!

I might go up there and give it a try.

The trail was pretty nice only a few spots were just a touch iffy with snow but my 80 with just a CDL made it with not much of an issue. I had my 3 year old son with me so we went to the camp area just before drive shaft hill and had lunch then went back.

pics, wish I had more but being by myself I couldn't get any good action shots. https://plus.google.com/photos/1012...ms/5858696924803538321?authkey=COyd8fXGiL23Eg

poser shot at the campground.

Pictures look good! It looks really nice where you were.....

Going to hit the trail again Saturday with one of my customers from work. Going to leave the Rocklin area around 10-11am. Anyone is welcome to join us, we will be meeting at the Chevron on Sierra College next to interstate 80.

I was thinking of going Sunday but its looks like Sunday is going to be pretty windy and I just got a new power kite so I'm going to go test it out and see what it does:D

Departure time will probably be 10:30-11am since some of my morning plans got changed a little.
