Thanks to a stroke of luck and some help from a long time cruiser buddy, these showed up at my shop a couple of weeks ago.

how easy / complicated it's to " adapt " those to a normal split case BF1A ..?

And if done properly will hold your big tire rig on a hill .?

I'm half way tempted to get one of these in the event that I ever do put a split case in my FJ40...

Same here - I've got an H41 and split case from an '84 HJ47 with only ~60,000 miles. I've been thinking of installing it in my '71 FJ40 (the vehicle already has a '76 2F and an H42 with one-piece case from a '78 FJ55). I've got an older H41 with '71 3-speed transfer case in my '76 FJ40 and I really like the gearing.

I sure hope you're still saving 1 for me. I'm still working on that list.

A game changer for some!

What do you think about a 14 bolt rear with this as the e-brake?

Does this retrofit into existing split cases?

And what do you do for a cable?
