No luck on searching, here or on the rest of the interwebs.

How many washers and bushings go on the top of traditional shocks? For this purpose I'm pretty sure OME and OEM are the same. The other question is are all four corners the same?

From the top,
1. Upper Nut
2. Flat Washer
3. Rubber Bushing
4. Beveled Washer
--Attachment point--
5. Beveled Washer (same as 4)
6. Rubber Bushing (same as 3)
7. Flat Washer (same as 2)

My LX started life with AHC, so really what I'm interested in is the order/layout of a stock non-ahc suspension. Sounds like a dead simple thing, but no diagrams I've found confirm it. For example,

Toyota of Dallas' diagram only names the top three pieces (not including the nut).

Thanks in advance

Ive seen them installed every which way, but the recommended way is (from the top): nut, washer, bushing, attachment point, bushing, washer. Shocks are easy as pie and most new shocks come with instructions how to mount the bushings.

Edit: Heres a pic for example. (Not a LC or LX)

Appreciate the response. I'm chasing a chirp that is for sure coming from that area. I just replaced the bushings and noticed my beveled washers (4 and 5) are looking rough, and now I'm not sure they are even intended to be there or should be on both sides of the attachment point. The diagram I included seemed to suggest that there is only one beveled washer per shock, but I definitely have 2. This is one of those things that is so "easy" it is hard to get a solid answer. You get a lot of every which way. Maybe it doesn't matter, but hoping someone knows.

I could be more help to you if you could somehow get a photo of your set up.

Heres a pic of an OME shock that uses the washer, bushing, beveled washer, mounting point, bw, b, w system.

What makes you think the chirp is coming from the shock?

That helps, appreciate it. I have OME shocks, and have the set up you described. I believe due to previous under tightening of the rear, or just a lot of miles, my bevels are almost gone.
There is no doubt that's where the chirp is, I have someone jump on the bumper while I listened - no mistaking it.
