Folks,
I've just refitted all new brakes (pipes, master cylinder, slave cylinders, shoes etc) to my old landcruiser.
It's got drums all round.
I've adjusted all adjusters out until the wheels were just rubbing and then took it for an extended test drive to bed them in. I jammed on a few times and the truck kept kicking it's right rear end out, so I readjested all the drums again until there was an even limited friction on each.
The truck still brakes unevenly. I thought it might be due to the pads being new and not bedded in but they all look ok. Also I make two even skidmarks on the road so that hasn't helped me. I even tried slightly over adjusting the left brakes to help them brake earlier but to no avail.
All tyres are pumped to 35psi.
Anyone got any tips for adjusting drums to pull even?
