I got a killer deal on a used A440F Trany that was hand delivered to SnT for me. I am going to pull my clanking Trany and puth this one in. My rear main seal and oil pan both leak so those are being replaced. What other preventative maintinence should I be doing while the Trany is seperated from the TCase and removed from the vehicle? I don't want to spend more than one or two weekends so no major modifications or engine swaps, just the basic seals, gaskets, etc. Thanks.

Since the entire transfer has to come apart anyway, you'll need all the gaskets and at least the rear output shaft seal. Also the seal between the tranny & transfer. Don't forget the stake nuts.

The lo-range shifter rides on a shaft that is screwed into the side of the tranny, there are a couple of cheap plastic bushings, I'd replace those.

Pray that the ATF cooling lines are in good shape and not rusted thru.
