Drop down alerts (1 Viewer)

Clicking on the bell icon in top right usually indicated unread alerts with a gold bar on the left edge. Now it appears to be a star, but the kicker is the stars are not going away once read. I see there is a time stamp showing when it posted and when it was read, but what makes the star icon expire?

Good question....that plugin gets updated regularly (including this morning), guessing there is a new bug that needs to be corrected. Not part of the built-in forum software.

Same issue here, makes it difficult to keep track of new alerts.

I’m having the same issue. Alerts still show as unread unless I follow the link to each one, which I don’t always want to do.

I likely get FAR more alerts than anyone on the forum...between alerts for every message in the Admin area, Help area, reports, etc. I haven't noted any issues, but I also know I'm on/off the site continually all day, both desktop and mobile. (phone push alerts....which helps me respond to posts in this section quickly)
