Full disclosure: I haven't checked any fuses. I haven't looked in the owners manual for answers...

I noticed this week, my DRLs are off. I haven't done anything - that I know of - to turn them off.

I went through a full diagnostic process: behind shiny car at red light, turned headlight switch to Auto, Off, On - no change to DRLs. Then escalated the effort: Repeated the above with fog/driving lights on. Traffic light turned green... shiny car pulled away - but no change to DRLs

Assuming I'd like my DRLs back (more curious why they left me)... where would a next-level diagnostic start?

Thanks!

If they are burned out then your high beam indicator should light when you're driving around. (my '99 is that way at least)

Most put in switches to turn them off. Now you don't have to.

I disconnected mine prior to installing HID's in the low beam holes, but I still use low beams while driving on 2-lane highways.

When the high beams are in the DRL mode, they're connected in series so they get half the voltage, and the voltage is lowered further by a ceramic resistor located in a perforated metal box. It's located to the rear of the PS reservoir and 2 bolts hold it to the inner fender. It has a short 2-wire harness and a connector.
