Hello folks, ive searched and searched both here and the net and cant find a suitable answer on my 1982 60 series. There is an electric fan that draws air from the outside thru the fender vent. As of right now there is a toggle switch under the dash controlling ona nd off. My issues is i cant find any info on whether this is a stock fan or if a prvious owner had this jerry rigged to work. Also if it i stock should it be pulling air into the engine compartment or should it be blowing air out of the engine compartment? Thanks so much for your time if you have read this.

Carb cooling fan, draws air from outside in after the motor shuts off.
There is a temperature sensor towards the back of the exhaust manifold and a timer relay that runs the fan for awhile, 20 min?, after the engine shuts off.
