Dealer replaced the passenger side about 3 years ago. I knew from this forum it would only be a matter of time before the driver's side went.
Then came that tell tale TICKING noise on acceleration after a cold start. After wifey's polite requests over past 10K miles to fix it, finally brought it in at under 65K Miles. The dealer took care of it under "warranty". Made me happy.
Then I met a guy here in town driving another MY2000. I introduced myself and started chatting about the truck. I asked if he ever had any problems with it. He said "The exhaust manifolds".
And then I asked him, "So, have you replaced the starter yet?" He looked at me like I was clairvoyant.
I mentioned MUD to him, so he might be lurking now.
