The cushion under the leather seat is usually in pretty good shape. You can always go to your local hobby store and get a small block of foam to reinforce the spot where one pivots to get out.

Oh dang, I’m a bit slow I guess. That seat bottom that was posted earlier is just the cushion not the leather.

I guess the leather cover and the internals (cushion, heater etc) are more like $813 here

seems crazy to me that we can’t just buy the gray leather seat cover from oem or aftermarket.

Yes. Only the cushion. The leather is steep! I haven't done anything to fix my tear. I think for the price of replacement parts, I may take it to an upholstery shop and provide them replacement cushion just for comfort's sake and my rig has 175k miles!

Yes, but that was on a car that is long gone now, so unfortunately I can't show a photo.

But, yeah, looks slightly better than duct tape.
