I've worn a small hole in the (cloth) driver's seat of my 2007, after 160,000 miles. I just bought some Marathon seat covers but haven't installed them yet - probably will tomorrow though.

OK, I installed my Marathon seat covers yesterday. Overall, they are sturdy and well-made. They will suit my purposes but are not perfect; I wanted something rugged since my FJC is now mostly a work truck for the oil field, so looks and perfect fit are secondary considerations for me.
The material used is Cordura nylon, and they are coated with something and warranted 100% water proof. I like the Cordura; it doesn't fray and is very strong. I think it would be difficult to poke or wear a hole in these in most circumstances and operating conditions, i.e. as long as you don't stab them with a sharp blade of some kind.
The fit is good but not perfect. They are sewn to a very close pattern, but the Cordura nylon is not stretchy like the Wet Okole material, so it doesn't fit like a second skin. If you want to spend the time working the Marathon covers on carefully and re-tightening the velcro straps that hold them on, you can get a very good fit.
One thing I really like about the Marathons is that they are modular; you can get them with or without head rest covers, arm rest covers, various pockets front and rear, plus you can buy the front and back seat covers individually. I bought mine with under-the-knee pockets on the front of the seats and big pockets on the seat backs. I guess I should mention that mine are front seat covers only, since I have removed my rear seats completely.
One thing I didn't like is that the instructions are minimal, and the photos in the instructions are not clear at all and not very useful. Fortunately, it's not rocket science and most of the installation and the use of the velcro tightening straps is relatively intuitive, though the straps for the seat backs are not very obvious. The biggest problem I had installing mine was working around the big vinyl flap that hangs down the back of the stock seat and is hooked with elastic up under the seat frame. I could not figure out for the life of me how to get these out the way of the straps, since the flaps would necessarily have to go underneath the seat covers. I ended up cutting mine completely off to get them out of the way, since they would be superfluous with the seat covers on, and it was way easier to install and tighten the covers with the flaps removed.
Marathon makes all of these to order; because of the huge variety in colors and other options mentioned above, they don't keep anything in stock. This being the case, it takes 7-8 weeks to get your seat covers from the time you order them. They didn't charge my debit card until they shipped though.
Overall, I like them well enough for my purposes that I may buy another set for my FJ40.
I will try and take some photos of them installed and add them to this post/thread later; don't have time right now.
