OK, so I replaced the latch mechanism that was the root cause of other’s driver-side door from wanting to close completely without having to yank in closed. That didn’t fix the issue.

Playing around and staring at it again tonight, I found a new clue. When the window is lowered (inside the door), the door closes with minimal pressure and works like a charm. If you roll the window up completely, the door goes back to not wanting to close and you have to give it a good push/pull to get it to close.

Tell me what to do now.

Does the door close fine if another door is open?

I had a similar problem..this may or may not help

The window track inside the door runs just next to the door check. When the door closes and the door check rod moves in the door it can hit the window track. I'm guessing maybe when the window it up and the door closes the door check is hitting the loose and broken window track out of place and closing the door. When the window is down its securing the window track in place and contacting the door check and hindering th door from closing.
I really hope this makes sense. Sorry it confusing.

Ok I re read the post. Maybe the door check is contacting the window track when the window is up. And when the window is down inside the track it moves back in the proper location, and clearing the door check....just a thought
