Can someone help explain why the output flange on the TeeCase is larger than the driveshaft flange? The driveshaft is 66x66 millimeters and the t-case flange is 68.5 mm x 60mm. Do we need to change the T-Case flange or find a diffent driveshaft?

T-case flange is likely cheaper, easier find, and replace.

^ I disagree

This should fit your tcase flange.

You can also take the universals apart and swap just the end drive shaft flange for the different bolt patterns but I believe almost all Landcruiser slip joints are the same.

For a second I thought with all these posts you were actually working on your own cruiser, but I see the "royal we" slipped in there. :flipoff2:

That reminds me that one of my slip joints has developed a small amount of play,

Do both halves of a slip joint wear evenly? Or would swapping out the female end significantly reduce the play?

Unfortunately it’s a custom length driveshaft so it’s not as easy as just buying another shaft.

Unfortunately I would guess they wear evenly however a end would buy you more time.

That’s what I figured,,, not worth worrying about it then. It only has a small amount of rotational play and no slop side to side. For now I’ll keep it lubed and worried about it later. Eventually I’ll replace it, but there’s no rush.
