The inner boot in both side closer to diff where wrap around the shaft is leaking the clip is good and boot has no tear in it but I guess they just leak after while the right side has more coming out of it than left side I could see there was some old grease built up but it seems it got worst when I give it the 3 inch lift I have no idea how much grease it has lost so I took it to Lexus dealer they want $57.00 for each boot and $500 for labor for each side to replace it for grand total of $1200.00 .is that normal cost to replace these things? they told me in order to fill the boot with grease when they take it a part they have change other parts that is why it cost that much i never taken one of this thing a part but $1200.00 does not sound right to me i have bad feeling they are giving me the grease.

That is a normal charge to R&R the CV axles. You can do it yourself if you are mechanically inclined.

The boots are pretty easy to replace if you can turn a wrench. This place actually sells a boot kit that has everything you'll need.

try to crimp ther colamps tighter after you put grease in boot dont relese clamp. find a needle tip grease fitting and put about 1/4 tube in boot squeze the boot to let air out (burp the boot) and try to tighten the clamp with thwe groov in a pair of pliers the tool looks like horse shoers pliers if the boot wasent burped when it was changed im asuming its been changed before the gasses in thwe grease when it gets hot will cause the boot to expand and leak considering the lift the inner housing is getting alot more movement from the higher angle

Thank you all for your suggestions actually took the GX in to Dealer for timing belt replacement all fluids tran, front and rear diff, transfer case, oil change for $1000.00 after two days decided to look under the hood and did not see dirt and dust being disturbed around cam covers so start thinking they did not do any of it .so start checking to see what they have done ,front diff bolt was damaged I guess the mechanic decided does not need to take the skid plate out so trying to fit the tool not been able to see and did damage it, all plastic holder front cover were gone and was hanging only from 2 the bolts on engine cover were just sitting in the hole and engine cover was lose if you would touch it so i decided to take it in needless to say ( after very nice conversation with service manager) they drained all the oil put new drain plug in tran,f/r diff, transfer case ,open the cam cover and showed me the new belt and since they saw the half shaft leaking they replaced all 4 boots free of charge they were very nice .GOD Bless America
