My front driver side door lower hinge has some slop in it causing bad alignment in the door, It looks like the bushings are worn out. It doesn't appear to be serviceable. Has anyone dealt with this? Can I just replace the hinge? Where do I go from here? I know the 40 series guys replace the bushings with brass ones but like I said it doesn't appear that I can service the 100 series hinge. Help please!

Good question,my drivers side rear door is doing the same.....

Do you mean that it's not flush with the body or the car? Mine in the fully shut position still sticks out and is letting road noise and wind noise in. I'd be interested to see what the solution to that would be as well.

Has anybody replaced the pins and bushings in their sagging door hinges?

Or do you have to completely replace the whole hinges?

I know the pins slid right out of the hinges on my old chevy, but the pins on the 100 look like they are not serviceable.

has anyone sucessfully replaced just the pins and bushings?

From the looks of it you have to buy the whole hinge. The link above has them for a reasonable amount.

I agree that $40 per hinge is not unreasonable, but when you consider two hinges per door times 4 doors.....

it sure would be nice to fix my loose door hinges with 8 dollars worth of bushings from the hardware store.

It depends on how crazy you want to get with it. I had a 91 mini truck a number of years back, the door hinges were giving out and it looked to be the same issue, not serviceable. I took the hinges off and cut the pin in half and removed the bushings and two halves of the pin I then got the closest sized pin and bushings I could find from NAPA, I had to drill out the hinge holes a bit to fit the generic bushings and pin but in the end it did work. Didn't look factory but it worked well and I had parts that I knew were now replaceable with generics from almost anywhere if they ever wore out again. I am just not so sure I want to do it on my 100.

Did you ever resolve your sagging DS rear door issue?

I've got what sounds like the same issue..... door closes but seems a bit "low" and requires a lot more force to lift and latch it against the striker plate. There is evidence that the door panel is rubbing against the door opening on the lower side as well.

I have no idea why the hinges would wear out on the rear door (which is used far less than the driver's door) but it's the only door that doesn't close well.

Weird.

Check the hinge plate bolts/nuts haven't worked loose. I had a similar issue on the PS rear upper hinge, sagging etc. Easy to pop the interior pillar trim off to access the bolts with an extension socket if you see any hinge plate to pillar movement or gap.

Does anyone knows if there is a kit to fix 100 door hinges? I just want to replace the bushings not the hinges...any help?
