Door check popping (1 Viewer)

My wife's door check has gone bad on her 2008 470 making a loud popping when you open the door all the way Lexus wants $120 for it, does anyone know if a different vehicles door check will work on it thanks

I had a piece of gravel get stuck in between the door and trim that caused that noise..may want to check that before you replace

I've already checked that and I've tightened the two screws on the door it's definitely coming from the check itself inside the door don't know what the problem could be I just need to replace it I guess

I had this - somehow the check had bent a part of the sheet metal inside the door so it caught on it when you opened the door. Solved by taking the door apart enough to stick a long bar inside the door and pry the bent metal back.

I'm going to take the door panel off this week and see what I can see, I'll keep your suggestion in mind thanks
