I have a dometic fridge. I have been plugging it into ACat night, then DC during the Day while driving. Is there any issue with having it plugged into the AC and DC at the same time?

Of course this is all until I get my solar panels installed.

Don't know about Dometic. But ARB and Engel will preference A/C if both are plugged in. I suspect the Dometic does too.

I have a whynter and I did the same and it ran fine and seemed to switch automatically to the AC juice form invertor

Yeah I plug mine into. AC whenever the truck is home. Its an Engel but Im sure yours must be the same. It defaults to AC whever possible to spare the batteries.

It uses both just fine. I’m connecting solar soon, just building my rack first. Hopefully won’t need AC for too long.
