Any idea if it is illegal to have my dogs ride in the M416 trailer? We are planning on welding up a raised roof mess cover for our M416 trailer, which would be a perfect carrier to haul the dogs around, but I don't know if this would be legal or not?

I have seen trailers that are specifically designed as dog carriers on the road plus horse and cattle trailers so I am sure it is legal. That said those trailers are awful bouncy on the road. Might not be a fun ride for fido.

Great point, but just call your state troopers and see if they have some random/obscure law pertaining to this. Would be a shame to go thru expense of materials only to find out you can use it.

If you treat your dogs as livestock/ property, you could probably get away with it. Competitive sled and herding dogs are transported in purpose-built trailers and pickup bed carriers quite frequently.

However, if your dogs share your house with you as a companion animal, prolly best to keep them in yr rig when traveling.

i agree,,,,,,,,,,,,,,mine are spoiled like my daughters:D

I don't know how you are setting up your trailer to transport the dogs, but since it is a relatively low trailer, keep in mind the vehicle exhaust.
