Dogs ate my 2nd row seat

My lovely dogs ate the top half of the leather off of the 40% side of my second row seat. First they chewed off the canvas seat cover. I am wondering if replacement skins are available and what they will cost parts and install. Anyone else have retarded labs for pets?
 
I have two labs and I would kill them - you must have a pretty young one?
 
my hamsters nibbled on my carpet.



just kidding, I don't have hamsters. If I did they would be outside in a cage, but then they would be "hamsicles" in the winter.

We almost lost one of our standard poodles to the bloat. When they were untwisting his stomach they stitched it to the peritoneum to stop it from happening again.

When we got Jake I had them do the same to him while he was down for neutering. $300 vs the almost $1200 we spent saving the other dog, pretty cheap considering.
 
Satchel and Bear, Yellow and Black, respectively are 2.5 years old. They have spent a lot of time in the hundy and my plate is LAB WGN, they chewed the 3d row seat belts but I did not care. They ate my rubber mat (Tractor supply pickup bed liner) so i screwed the new one to plywood and they ate that. I replaced the rubber with commercial carpet tiles and they leave those alone. The consumption of the leather surprised me cause they have not chewed it at all in the past, and because it was covered with the canvas seat covers. I was ready to beat them both when they did it, now I have calmed down. Life with labs includes s***e gettin et. I will get in touch with Shane and Katzskins, maybe I can scavenge some leather from the 3d row seats. Are they the same general size as the 2nd row?
 
Have you considered looking for another rear seat from a salvage or junk yard? I have a local junk yard that has 98 100 series in the yard and it still has all the seats from the last time I visited... If interested I could give them a call... I lost my Boxer dog which made it about 13yrs this past year...

My condolences on the loss of your dog. This is my second pair of labs, Calvin and Hobbes died at 8 and 9, both suddenly and both in my arms. When we lost Hobbes we didn't make it more than two days before the lack of a dog in the house had us out looking for a new family member. Given that I have 2 kids, 3 and 6, I would have probably held out on a second puppy but the :princess: demanded a black lab for her birthday. So I got 2 lab puppies within 6 weeks of each other when my kids were 1 and 4. It was a nightmare. Life with labs is like that.

I wouldn't live without dogs.

I have a 4 y/o yellow lab who LOVES his rides in the 100, and knock on wood, he has not chewed ANYTHING up his entire life...I think we got just a little lucky with him :D

Of course, when my brakes went on thursday I stopped worrying about the seats. So far this is looking like a memorable christmas season.

Hilarious! I've heard stories about labs tearing through drywall, etc., but umm, never a shovel :lol:

You spoke of your brakes, what year is yours? Anything you could have / should have done to prevent the brakes from going? I recently acquired an '02, and am always trying to learn.

Not to turn this into a thread solely about dogs, but thought you may get a kick outta our "baby." Neighborhood kids love him too...Here's "Sheriff Carson" during trick-or-treat...

Not to hi-jack the thread here, but if you guys end up with any spare headrests I could use all 3 from the second-row (I have tan interior). Or, if you want to PM me a number for the salvage yard, I can call them if the original poster isn't going to get them.
