Does my FJ have the capability to....

....have an aftermarket AC outlet wired to back rear where the factory on is?

I pulled the panel off and there's a wiring harness with a little white female end just waiting for something to be plugged into it.

What's the deal with this bad boy?

Also, there are two circular tabs plugged into two holes midway down my ceiling panel.

What are these doohickies for???

It might depend on what your rig was equiped with from the factory but you may be able to add a 12 volt DC outlet to the existing wiring. Also there is a type of speaker or exciter if I recall that is located above the headliner. You may be able to hear it or feel them if you crank up the volume on your factory stereo and reach up over head . . . that was part of the factory stereo I believe . . . .

The circular doohickies help hold up the headliner. The "speakers" in the ceiling ar crap, not even worth looking for.

it is cheaper to make one wireing harnes then it is to make more a lot of toyota have hook up for it with out haveing the option. ig fog lamps have the spot for it and wires. so yes you can hook it up and may work. i know if you dont have the a-trac you can get the switch and hook it up and it works.

If your talking about on the passenger side behind the panel and on top of the wheel well, its for the subwoofer that was an option on some fj's. I used that to hook up a dc outlet and run my arb fridge off of it.
