does anyone run warn hs9500i on their 40?

getting ready to buy a used warn hs9500i (brand new,,, used once).... i want to put it on my 40.. does anyone run one of these winches?? if so,, are there any drawbacks to them,, will it fit between the frame-rails? do these winches perform well?? any info would be greatly appreciated before this purchase.. thank you for your time...

It will not fit down between the frame rails.

It will need to be mounted above the frame...

I have the non-"i" version of the HS9500, it's a great winch but be aware that apparenty they can get water inside even when not being used. I plan to pull mine apart occasionally to check for water. You might want to do the same before mounting it up. It's not hard, just take the clutch hande out of the gearbox, then remove all the cap screws and slide the gearbox off. Two long bolts hold the motor on. Be sure to anti-sieze all the hardware when you put it back together too.

No regrets with mine, I just wish I had known it needs some care occasionally.
