Does 900.00 sound about right?

I would be interested to know the shop as well as I am in B'ham.

I got a coupon in the mail the other day from Serra Toyota that offered the timing belt for $389.95 but "fees, taxes and shop supplies not included". So long as they are in there to replace it seems like you could negotiate to add the water pump, etc.

Limbaugh Toyota has the same for $349.95 on their website.

so with parts almost half of the $900. is the book rate for the job 4-5 hours??
figure @ $100 hr.
just curious

Alright the work is finished. I added a fuel induction service for 54.95, what the heck! Total damage for timing belt, serpentine belt, water pump, thermostat and gasket, coolant, spark plugs and fuel induction service= 965.32. Very happy with the service, dealer through in a free loaner car for 2 days. For those nearby, I used mcKinnon Toyota in Clanton, Al.

Sounds like you did just fine then!
