Hi there I’m installing the dobinsons 3” lift all around. Front went in no problem, but I’m having a hard time with the rear. I can’t seem to fit the rear springs in the perch.

I’ve:
- disconnected sway bar
- removed shock
- loosened up LCA bolts to get full droop
- used a bottle jack to open up / force suspension open/down
- used spring compressors but there springs won’t physically fit in the perch with the compressors on.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

if you have two jacks, place one in the center of diff, other on an outer edge of axle and compress, to open up opposite side. put in spring and move outer jack to the other side and compress new spring. sorta like a teeter totter type of thing of the rear axle.

**Assuming you have a Sequoia or 4runner

Thanks for the reply. I should have mention it’s a 2nd gen Sequoia that has IRS, not solid axle in the back. Your method has worked for me in the past for my 4Runner but not so well for the IRS

Thanks so much fellas. I’ll see if I can find one of those compressors.
