Has anyone attempted to purchase a Bumper from Dobinsons 4x4? Looks like they are big in the AU and have a USA branch in FL. Was looking at an 04' for sale on EBay and saw this bumper for the first time on the 100.

Pics? Link?

Looks like an ABR copy.

Anybody have any idea what they go for? The website lets you checkout, but without giving a price. It seems they are "price on arrival". The currency exchange rate would be in our favor, but I would still like a ball park number.

Yeah well the price is a rip off. $1726.00 is what the vendor tells me. Not sure who they plan to sell to at that price point, surely not myself. Saving my pennies for a Slee.

Wow. That is insane. If your gonna be a rip off you have to at least be less expensive then the company you stole the design from. There is a China based company that sells the ARB knock off in the $800 range. They need to be in that price range if they hope to be profitable.

That's nothing. I had a guy in AU quote me the price for an Opposite Lock bar for my FJ and shipping from Brisbane to Richmond Va. The price was $2170 not including U.S. customs fees.

My guess is about half that cost is shipping. Unless a distributor can import a full container, the costs are very high. My guess is that ARB sells enough in the US that they are able to ship full container loads.

I was reading something last week, its cheaper in AUS to buy and ship an Air locker from the US back to AUS, than it is to buy it in AUS. Why I don't know but the Aussies seemed pretty hacked off
