Do some JDM HDJ81's have lockers?

Might have the chance to move to Japan(new job possibility) and have already been looking at 'cruisers over there. Finding diesel ones is easy, but none of the diesels(70's or 80's) that I have found have lockers. (Some have factory winches though!) Prados apparently only had rear lockers, so that might not be an option either, but if I found a nice enough one I'd consider it..

Anyone know if any of the HDJ's came with the option of lockers or should I restrict my searches to petrol versions? Aside from the right hand drive, any other significant mechanical/powertrain differences I should be aware of between the JDM versions and the US ones?

Any insight is appreciated!

I've had a '91, and now have a '93 HDJ81 with 3X lockers, they are out there. Some JDM 70's had cable lockers as well.

HDJ81's from 1991-1997 also all have full floating rear ends and rear disc brakes.

Sure, they are around. Definitely not the norm but they pop up here and there.

I had a 1990 FJ80 and it had the factory front, rear and center diff locks. Also came with the OEM Toyota winch and mini fridge in the center console. I got a good deal on it from someone on base who was transferring, but be prepared to pay a pretty penny for clean cruisers over there.

Iv got an import just now in Scotland full locks spare tire underneath came over in 2004

Anyone know for sure if the same model/wiring/chassis changes as we had in the US- post 1/95 mechanicals and so on- happened in the JDM models?

Just trying to figure out which trucks to shoot for, and what all I should bring for parts...
