Okay guys here goes... I have a lot of idea's running around in my head about what to do with interior of my fj40's tub. Professional spray in liner is what I want. Out of my budget right now. (local guy quoted me $800) I have around $200 to spend so I was planning on either sandblasting and painting with the same single stage paint I am using on the outside. Or using the por 15 product and simply brushing that over my interior. Both of which will be temporary until I get it professionally lined. Which way should I go? Do you guys have any other idea's?

i say go u-pol raptor lining... you can get the tintable version which comes with the gun for $100

the urethane paint needed to tint.. and a good cleaner to prep the surface and you should be well under $200

Go buy the durabak and do it yourself.

On the rust, you have 600 lying around for blasting the tub? You could do it yourself and save some money or buy the por15, and shoot it then you'll have 3-6 hours to wait until you shoot the the bedliner.

If you POR your tub, it will be very tuff to get off via blasting later. I would spot blast the nasties and rust, then sand, clean, prep, and Raptor with color as mentioned. It is GREAT STUFF. You will not be disappointed.

Thanks guys. Danno I don't know who your local sandblaster is but 600 for the inside of the tub is crazy. I paid 110 for my hood, hinges, fenders, tail gate, bib, grill, windshield frame, basically everything but the tub itself. I have seen a couple of the home spray in-roll in liners that looked terrible, also heard their near impossible to get rid of. So I am trying to stay away from those. I am not sure if the ones i have seen were cheap crappy products or just bad applications. Greek have you used the raptor product on your 40's? If so I would love to come take a look.

Okay boys my wife told me what to do!:crybaby: Yeah I said it. No really we were discussing the interior and she said that I do not have the patience for a do it yourself liner. She knows me all too well and said that the moment I start spraying a do it yourself liner I am going to be a complete stress case. Also if ANYTHING goes wrong I will freak out. So My better half has persuaded me into sandblast and paint until I get it professionally lined!
