Just wondering if anyone has an overhead altimiter/thermometer that works? I have not dug into mine yet, but as is, it sure does me no good! Really its just a gimmicky thing, but I want to get it going again.

yep, a few i brought in had the light out but they all worked fine...

I have a few one in a 74 and one in a 70 other than a light buld out on the 74 and a resister out on the 70 they work great, and pretty accurate on altimeter compared using GPS.

Red herring, if it doesn't work, often it's simple repair, the big resistor in there heats up a lot, and melts the solder, resoldering does the trick for the next few years.

Bang on with the resistor tip... man does it get HOT!! Works now.
