I just got my head back from the machine shop and I see that the head has a kangaroo stamped on it. Is that a Toyota thing because a lot of these trucks were sent to Australia? All you diesel guys probably know this, but I'm new to the diesel world.

There are a lot of aftermarket heads that come out of Australia, my guess is that is one of them. Can't imagine Toyota using a kangaroo.

I dont know for sure, but I understand that there were heads cast in Australia that solved the head cracking issues on the 2H heads. It would at least make sense that the Kagaroo was put on the AUstralia made heads. Toyota....not sure they ahve heard of the Kangaroo.....

TORA stamp also on my head

Anyone know the origin of this TORA stamp on the Kangaroo head?

X2 All Head uses the Kangaroo, If I can remember correctly.

AllHead confirmed

Someone from Allhead returned a email confirming they made the head with the Kangaroo stamped on it. He said they used to produce 150 heads a month (maybe a week, I can't remember). The Chinese started making cheap replacement heads and ruined the market. Allhead quit making them, although they still work on them. He said they had one used 2H head in their inventory. He did state that their heads were a high quality cast iron unit and I'm assuming that their high nickel content is one reason he considered it "high quality".
