So after seeing and stopping a fella driving a nice 40 and mentioning Dixieland he asked about a Facebook page. What are the general thoughts on making a Dixieland Facebook page. Personally I am for it because it would give a place that is easier to find for new people that we meet.

It's kind of like Myspace but not as cool as Google+. Sort of like the Twitter but without the 160 character limit.

If I knew how to do that I would. Honestly my thought for this was when I tried to explain how to get to our little club house to the fella.

I was just thinking out loud to try and get an easier way to introduce new people

Sorry I will go back to tending the fire now so we can have meat at the next meeting.

Oh I know I picked up on it.

I may have to search to see if we have one because I wasn't aware.

Anyway so when is the next meeting? Anyone up for smoked bologna?

No page that I can find but we do show up in the search results.

Could we make Dixielandcruisers.com redirect to the forum?

Sent usin the "new" app.

Well if all the cool kids are doing it then I remove the suggestion from the table. We are the hipsters of the TLCA so it is clearly to mainstream now. I say a Google+ page now. :D

you certainly could do the facebook page and to avoid name confusion make sure to add a large note about the club, its location, and the 4*4 nature of the group... then throw up a link to here on the AL clubhouse section.

I think there is a web site floating around somewhere that I don't have the link to that probally needs to be revised....that talks about the state club.

Seems like you want all the external "things" to point to a central location so that a person would get an answer to their questions ....etc.
