looks like I will be doing this soon. Today I was measuring and tightening my new belts (pretty loose they were), when I found oil around the same area this post shows, and outside distributor cap. How difficult is this job for those who have done it? I have been loosing oil, but couldn't find leak, now it's obvious.

I just did the same last week. It wasnt bad a all and I used the same thread for reference

I did make my marks on the housing by the timing adjustment and lockdown bolt. I used a paint scraper and hammer so te marks couldn't wash off while cleaning

You dont have to put at top dead ctr if you pay close attention to the rotor when removing but I did anyways to eliminate any Questions. Quite easy

And you could try adjusting timing after done to see if you get any more performance bumping up from the stock 3 degree advance. Don't forget to jumper the diagnostic port if adding timing
