Hi Everyone,

Boy is this install guide not great, pretty confident that it has taken me twice as long as necessary due to having to intuit for the steps or photos that aren’t given.

In the guide, for step “F - Final alignment,” it says to install the remaining 12 flat stainless steel screws into the center and the wings. But it does not say what hardware to pair with the screws. In previous steps where we put those screws on there were 2 threaded backer plates we were told to use but there are no more of them and the holes themselves are not threaded.

Am I supposed to use the flat stainless screws with the zinc coated locking nut with a washer? I am assuming yes but just want to make sure before I go using hardware that’s intended for somewhere or that will needlessly cause accelerated corrosion since the metals don’t match.

the flat allen head bolts get washers and nylock nuts like you have pictured; however, there are 4 double nut plates to make the top bolts easier to install. I'm not sure why you said the instructions are unclear. The guy that made them seems to be a genius 🤷‍♂️

use anti-seize on everything. Stainless will gall even if it's touching other stainless.

Instructions were unclear because they specifically cited the double nut plates were to be used when the center section was being put on. Then once the wings are in place it just says to put in the rest of the flat screws, at that point there are no more double nut plates and it doesn’t say what to use so I guess you’re supposed to just sift through the remaining 40 pieces of hardware, pick something, and hope for the best.

Same with the various sized washers, instructions would say to put in a bolt and use a washer, and sometimes would specify which size then other times not. Well in a lot of cases there were 3 different sizes of washers that would potentially work. So again, you have to guess.
