Discreet 40" LED Lightbar on Factory Roof Rack

haven't tried them, but those parts are pretty similar (between the LX and LC) so i'd be surprised if they didn't bolt up. The biggest problem, i'd imagine, with using this on the LX OEM rack would be that the light would sit about 10" further back on the roof. Maybe that doesn't matter depending on your goals. Also, this could possibly be resolved by making the bracket longer and hanging the light out in front of the rack. That might look weird though, not sure.
Forgot to consider LX roof rail is shorter than LC.
I will give it a try and see...thanks!

So the brackets will fit the LX crossbars fine. The rail to crossbar connections are identical. As pointed out, the LX rack is one foot shorter, so instead of being right behind the sun roof, the light will be further back and you might get some shadowing. I have the brackets on a 2009 LX, but I’m running a TLC rack.

Thanks for your advice… might have to get a rack one day.

Does anyone know if these brackets work for a 100 series? If not what is the biggest difference?
I'd also like to know. I imagine the brackets would work fine. I just don't know how wide the crossbars are on the 100 series vs 200 series. On my 99 LX the distance between side rails is 46 7/16" It's also way back like others have mentioned. I guess you could make a longer bracket and even angle it up a few inches so that it's the same height as if it were sitting directly on top of the factory crossbar, if that makes sense.

Something like this might work on a 100 series...

I do believe someone on MUD makes a mount for 40” light bar. Check the beginning of this thread. 200 width inside rails are 43.5” and 3.75” behind the sunroof.

Yeah that’s what I was looking at. But the 100 series would need a longer bracket that curves in a bit to fit the 40” light bar.

Can someone who has these brackets take a measurement to the inside surface of each bracket when installed on the crossbar without a light bar?
I'm trying to figure out what bars might work and not all 40" light bars are actually 40" at the mounting points.
I believe the black oak is 42", is that an accurate width of these mounts?

Thanks!

Took some isnpiration from this thread:

Here is the factory roof rail mounted LED bar on mine:

It’s a 1005mm wide, 55mm tall, 210W LED panel with white park lights and orange flashing warning lights.

The brackets were laser-cut from 3mm steel, but after bending, they turned out just a bit too wide, so I had to modify them with an angle grinder and a TIG welder. ;)

I ran the cables under the windshield moulding and inside the end cap of the roofrail
