I have thought about this for a few years now and I think it is time to try to take this to the next stage.
I would like to find people that are interested in helping plan a route. I'm thinking about New England, dirt roads, scenic roads, exploring interesting places, maybe camping combined with some motels/hotels. I'm thinking a 10 day-2 week trip, maybe with people able to jump in and out along the way. The whole trip COULD be longer or shorter... Lots of options to discuss... and this doesn't have to be a one-off thing... I'm sure there are enough places to explore and roads to drive for this to become an annual event (or maybe twice a year: a spring and fall version...?)
I'd like to generally avoid the typical tourist spots. Looking for the "real" New England. Lots of stopping to take in local culture, take photos or just enjoy a cup of coffee and slice of pie - you get the idea.
No need to cover 1200 miles, no rushing, no interstate highways, as much dirt as possible. No "wheeling" but a little 4wd here and there would be cool.
Anyway... if this sounds like something you would like to talk about chime in here and we'll go from there...
