I was checking some of EC Offroad's options and it looks like they've got a new toy- a full digital dash replacement. I hadn't seen this sort of retrofit before. I personally like the analog approach, but thought others might dig it.

I know it’s a sign I’m getting old but I chuckle when I see digital screen graphics made to look like analog gauges.

@TheGrrrrr has posted that he is in the process of putting this and the Tesla style radio in his LC.

Yep, placing my order next week. Just wrapping up a home purchase, so holding off until that is done before I take on any more big projects. Should have it all installed and tested by Thanksgiving.

To the Great "The Grrrrr" you have more courage than the average 200 series lion! !!! (or at least me... LOL,,,)

I look forward to this thread and you achieving this great accomplishment with ease to inspire us all on the 200 forum to follow in your BRAVE footsteps !!!!

I changed the battery out on my 200 today and was feeling pretty good about myself, until I saw this "Act of 200 Courage"...

I am but a humble battery changer in your presence...

I am honored to be able to read this thread !!!

Good Luck with your mission....

Well that's bizarre. Either I've touched a nerve or your sense of humor is as unique as mine. I don't even care if it was snark, I'll give it 5 stars for creativity.

No snark at all...

I sincerely hope this project works out well as a plug and play without any issues...

If it works out well for you...

It may give some of us the courage to follow in your foot steps.

It takes courage to spend $1,900.00 on this item and open up your dash for an improvement to an already working system...

Peace.

To be honest, I have been assuming that was the AUD price, but haven't actually confirmed. If it is AUD then it's *ONLY* $1350 USD. LOL. Maybe I'm just running out of mods that I think will actually be of value. I want lockers, bumpers and a few other high dollar mods, but I just keep putting them off because I haven't needed them for any of the off-roading I do. I don't need this cluster upgrade either, but at least it will be in use every time I drive the truck... unless it sucks and I switch back to OEM... then I'll be looking for someone to buy it who hasn't read my eventual review of it sucking.

Yes, the price is AU dollars. If you haven’t already, I’d advise asking them if it’s confirmed to work in US spec LCs before buying it. Those of us who have purchased their Android unit to add CarPlay have found a few issues that are apparently specific to the US spec. Nothing completely fatal and they are committed to addressing it.

Did you ever upgrade your gauge cluster? Did it work well?

I look at these digital dash clusters and always ask "why?"

Why would I want this? The "resolution" of a physical dial will always be higher than the resolution of a digital representation of the same dial. And why would I want some stupid animation of my truck on the dash?

Hold on while I go shake my fist at the clouds....
